MUSEUM AT HOME VII - 25th & 26th.06.2022



Museum at home, it's 10 neighbors of the Ixelles Museum that welcome you to their places to present a piece of our art collection.
During this 7th edition, you'll have the pleasure to discover pieces of art from Gustave De Smet, Jacques Charlier, Dan Van Severen and so on.
Meeting point: Sunday the 26th from 1pm to 6pm at the information point located on Blyckaerts Place. You will receive the map of the whole journey.
For deaf people, for people with hearing difficulties or for anyone who knows sign language, a special visit (in French) will take place at 3pm.

The 8th edition of Museum at Home will take place the 3rd and 4th of December in the neighborhood located between the streets of the Ixelles Museum, Chaussée d'Ixelles and the Flagey Place.

The Musée comme chez soi (Museum at home) project has been very successful with the public and the press. It has also received widespread acclaim from cultural observers and critics. It received the 2019 aKCess award from Prométhéa, as well as the award for innovative cultural practice in Belgium in 2018 from Ligue des Usagers culturels (L.U.C.).

The Museum as Home project has been a great success with the public and the press. It has also been well received by cultural observers and critics. It has been awarded the Prométhéa aKCess Prize 2019 and the ICOM CECA Best Practice Award. 
As a candidate in 2021 for the Art Explora Award - Académie des beaux-arts (France) in the category "Institutions receiving less than 100,000 visitors per year" with this project, the Musée d'Ixelles had the great pride of being one of the three winners designated by a prestigious jury of experts, alongside the Monnaie de Paris (category 2: between 100,000 and 500,000 visitors/year) and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London (category 3: more than 500,000 visitors/year) The Louvre-Lens Museum was awarded the Public Prize.
