AROUND THE VASARELY EXHIBITION
This autumn, the Museum of Ixelles takes you into the world of Victor Vasarely. Who Is Vasarely? Quite simply, he is an artist like no other, creating shifting lines and vibrant colours. It’s likely that you know his work without realising. Think of the famous diamond logo for the Renault brand in 1972… Special effects are guaranteed with Vasarely!

Every Sunday, guides with an expertise in Art History welcome you.
Guides are available to describe one or two art works from your choice. They are happy to adapt their explanations to the expectations of their visitors of all ages (EN-FR-DU).

If you enjoyed the Vasarely exhibition, there is more! Every Sunday afternoon from 20 October until the 1st of December, our host holds the key to the VasaLab and will reveal the world of illusion that is Op Art.
For children aged from 3 to 9 years, accompanied by an adult. Register on-site on the same day.

Get an eyeful at the library and the museum on this four-day course! Explore the work of Victor Vasarely with his optical illusions, large alphabet shapes, colours and pop-ups. Blink and you miss it!

AROUND THE DUANE HANSON EXHIBITION
Life-size wax figures which you won't find at Madame Tussauds! Duane Hanson shows us the highs and lows of American society and life as it truly is: at times hilarious, sometimes sad.
As usual, the Museum of Ixelles offers its young visitors the opportunity to discover the exhibition on their own with a fun activity book. All figures by Duane Hanson have their own story, whether funny or sad. Can you solve the mystery behind these figures and crack the code which leads to a wonderful treasure?

Duane Hanson. Untold Stories
Children and parents create their own story based on the life-size figures by Duane Hanson. The spur of the moment will decide who will be playing the leading-role, what dangerous adventures you will embark upon and if there will be a happily ever after (or not?).
A professional animator will guide you through your own fantasy for two hours in search of your inner story-teller. Everything can or might not happen. Be warned!
